i only have one more week to go , then im done and home !! beyond excited to think that this time next week i'll finally be counting down the hours ! xD i've had a great past week ! on the weekend , we were supposed to do a car wash but plans got cancelled , and we ended up going shopping all day !! :) it was great , got tons of new clothes of course , and a colouring book ;) gotta keep myself busy when im at home lol no bigg . we went to a huge plaza kinda place , it was like a mall , but all the stores were individual so you get to each of them from outside . it was sweet , they had everything . even sushi for lunch , which we all had ! :) i also got my second holes pierced on my ears with ali , one of the other girls in my group , it was funn :) after our 5 hours of shopping , from everywhere from american eagle to winners , to the dollar store to walmart , shanna came home with me and we had a sleepover at my house :) it was a good night , we talked and talked and talked , painted our nails , and watched a movie . a good time :) then on sunday , we went kayaking ! it was so much funn , it was on the lake in chambly , and shanna and kristen and daseul and i braved the rapids :p it was definitely a struggle going against the water lol but still a good time , got lots of sun !! it was only like 2 hours , so after that we all went back home . it was a nice chill day ( y ) i even had a nap when i got home :) lol
my work week was of course , the same as always lol getting excited that i only have one more week left !! 5 days of work !! last night ( thursday ) we went out to the ceramic cafe , we got to pick anything from all the plates and bowls and vases and figures , and we painted and laughed and talked for a solid 3 hours ! it was great lol i made a plate for my family here as a present , cause i didnt wanna bring it home if it could break ! so i made a thank you plate :) lol valerie is gonna go pick them up next week i believe :)
im so excited for this weekend in old quebec city and valcartier ! and hopefully i'll get to meet up with paul and sophie , since i missed them last weekend !! :) so i'll post about everything we did on the weekend when i get back !! miss everyone lots , and i'll see you in a week tomorrow !!

2 weeks left ! :)
theres only 2 weeks left of the exchange !! this time in 2 weeks , i'll be counting down the hours , and not the days anymore ! lol im so excited to come home , as much as i love it here , and am having so much funn with everyone !!
wednesday night we went to the soccer game , impacte a montreal ! it was montreal vs vancouver , vancouver won :( lol it was a funn night though . soccers not really a sport i like watching , but it was still good to go out and hangout with everyone for the night ! we took the subway again , and on our way there , ben daseul and i were too late to get on with the rest of the group , so we hadda wait for another one , and then catch up . it was a funn adventure , kinda one of those 'you had to be there to think its funny' moments lol but we found it funny . didnt end up going to bed after 12 that night , kinda sucked cause i had to work the next day , but i made it through alright lol
at the day camp on thursday night , they had a campout , so ben and i got to help out with setting up all the tents , thursday morning , and then of course taking them all down friday morning !! we had the choice to participate and camp out too with the other leaders , but we decided that after having our own activities all the time with the Y , this would just make us more tired . ! so we bailed on that . but because all the kids were up til all hours of the night , we had a chill day today , we watch nanny mcphee , then started UP during lunch , then started New Moon during the day care . so it was a good day .
this weekend , we were supposed to have a car wash tomorrow , but plans fell through , and now we cant . so instead , we're all going shopping at a big mall , and ali and i are gonna get our ears pierced there ! :) then shanna's gonna come home with me and we're gonna have a sleepover , definitely excited for that !! then on sunday , its still as normal , we're going kayaking , but not where we were supposed to go , we're going just in chambly now . so a little closer to home ( y ) so this weekend should be a good one , and i'll put an update as to how it went after it all happens !!

Family Weekend
so i finally got a weekend of rest !! it was the family weekend , so nothing planned with the Y . yesterday , i woke up at 10 , that considered sleeping now as i wake up way earlier for work every morning . i didnt do much in the morning . just lazed around the house pretty much . but around 3ish , manon , alex and i left to go to manon's mother's trailor for dinner . she has a trailor at a trailor park , so she lives there for a few days every week all summer . although it was nice to meet her mother , and go out to do something with the family , it was still a bit boring , as caroline was working so it was just me , and the 3 adults ! ( y ) lol so we had a nice dinner there , and didnt get home til about 1030 i think . and of course , as soon as my head hit the pillow , i was out ! then today , i was up at 9 , and at 10 manon and me went to pick up her friend , and headed to the mall !! what a great way to spend the weekend :) and my money ! we spent a couple hours there , and again , it was jsut me , and the 2 older women so other then the fact that i was shopping , it was a bit boring . but i still bought lots :) for dinner tonight , the 4 of us , alex manon caroline and me , went out for dinner in Chambly . it was a nice little restaurant somewhat like the fishbowl . so today , i had mussles and sushi all in one day ! :) ( mussles for dinner , and sushi for lunch at the mall ) i'd say it was a good day :) lol and now , its only 830 , and im already ready for bed . so i have another week of work ahead of me , and we're going to a soccer game on wednesday with the Y . so i cant wait to see everyone ! :)

Halfway done !!
Like i already said , my work week is just the same old same old . we play , eat then swim ( y ) and on thursday , they got to go to the science center and the Labyrinth , so Ben and i were left behind with 3 other leaders to stay with the kids that didn't go . it was a quiet day , no complaints there !!
Also on thursday , we had our outing with the Y . we went to the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal , and it was alot of funn . it wasnt like a sit down comedy show like most of us were expecting . but it was a whole street festival in the streets of downtown montreal . there were tons of different vendors and sponsers there , with lots of different stuff to do . we took the subway down , like we usually do in montreal . we watched a magician at the beginning , it was pretty cool . i still dont understand how you can cut someone in half though :s then we watched a guy act as a human canon ball and get shot out of a canon . it was way cool , he was the second generation of human canon balls in his family . after that we just walked around and looked at everything else that was going on , shanna and i took lots of pictures with all the different people in costumes , it was a fun time :) since our cerfew is 10 , we didnt end up spending tons of time there , but we finally ended up getting home at 1030 .
friday night i went to alex's ( my 'dad' ) parents house for dinner . caroline didnt come as she was working , so i thought i was gonna be there with a bunch of adults ( y ) but caroline and gabriels cousin was there , and he's my age , so we hung out for a bit there . after working all week though and being outside everyday , i of course was so tired , so i went home when manon ( 'mom' ) went to pick caroline up from work . i needed sleep !

4 weeks left !!
so , i realize that i've missed like a weeks worth of events , but heres my reasoning : last week , i wasnt gonna write until thursday or friday , cause first of all , i didnt know when i was gonna find the time , and second of all , all my days during the week are the same , so i would only have needed a quick re-cap ( y ) and then on the weekend , i wasnt home friday night long enough to write , and i was at a campout on satuday so couldnt do it then . and then last night , after my weekend , i was too tired to make time ! so , although its been a whole week , i do remember all the highlights that you all deserve to know ;) so we'll start with during the week ..
its was all pretty much the same , at work at least . the daily routine of games for the first 3 hours of the day , lunch at noon , and at the pool for the last 2 hours . then i hadda stay with the day care for an hour after , so everyday , i would finish at 4 . except wednesdays , then its 330 . so as for work , everything was same old same old , starting to get boring lol . on thursday night , we had Cirque Eloise ! hearing the word Cirque , i thought this circus show was gonna be like an elephant and clown kinda circus , but it definitely was not ! lol it was all acrobatics , and contortionists , and crazy bicyclists and jugglers . it was actually amazing !! the stage was set up with a big wall with different levels and door and window openings on it . so throughout the show , the acrobats , and contortionist , and trampoline guys would be all over the wall . the guy on the bicycle was pretty insane ! he pretty much climbed the whole wall on his bike , bouncing around on the back wheel , doing crazy stunts and what not . although i wanted to see the elephants , this circus was still amazing !!
on wednesday , it was one of the girls in our groups birthday ; leighe . so on friday , valerie ( our ymca coordinator ) had all 8 of us over to her house to celebrate :) so we had a dance party and went swimming and alison made a cake . it was a good time :) valerie taught some of us bellydancing , it was pretty cool . in september she's teaching a class or something so she taught us a few moves . ;)
so on saturday , we went to la ronde !! so much fun , despite the rain that washed us out early . we went on a few roller coasters , pirate ship , and my favourite , the swings !! :) lol we even got shanna on all the roller coasters , and before la ronde , she absolutely hated them , but not anymore ! we were going to stay til later in the evening , and have dinner there too , but we ended up leaving around 2 or 3 because it started pouring rain ! so we didnt get to finish the whole park , but what we did do was still great :) we all went back to ali's house after , where we were camping out for the night . for dinner , ali's host dad took me , ali , leighe , and daseul to the sushi shop , so we all got a sushi platter for dinner ! that was prolly the highlight of my night :) and then everyone else got pizza ( y ) we went swimming at ali's , and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs , started watch a movie , and we were up late in the tent talking about everything !! and then ben was in a tent all by himself beside us . so the 7 of us girls crammed into a tent together . shanna and kristen were up until like , 5 in the morning ! me and daseul on the other hand were passed out by 12 . after working everyday and being out all day on the weekends , everyones so tired by the end of the week .
sunday morning , we all woke up and got ready to go to laser tag and shopping in montreal ! we had breakfast at ali's , and then valerie came to meet up with us and we all left for montreal . laser tag was funn , we got to play 2 games , the first one was every man for themself , then we played on teams . our team dominated of course ! ;) it was all glow in the dark , and like 3 floors , so we were everywhere . after laser tag , the 8 of us got to go out and shop for like 3 and a half hours before dinner . it was so cool , the laser tag palce was a little hole in the wall kind of thing on a street , then all up and down the street were all the different stores ; like all the ones from a mall , like american eagle or garage , or winners or guess , but it was like an outdoor mall almost . everything from a mall like georgian mall or something was on a street , it was pretty cool . so leighe and daseul and me split off and when into all sorts of places and shopping together :) we met up with the rest of the group and valerie for dinner around 530 and ate at a cute little diner kinda place . we were there for what seemed like forever , cause we were held up by one of the girls in the group , shannon . she's from missisauga , so she didnt know any of us and we didnt know her . so as much as we're trying to make an effort to include her in our group , none of us can stand her . :/ she was the one the screwed us over during the amazing race . ( y ) anyway , after dinner , we took the metro to the station where we got picked up by some of the moms . then we all went back to ali's to get our overnight stuff and headed to our own homes . it was so nice to finally get home and know i could go to bed ! i've been ready for bed lately at like 8 ! thats how tired i am after each week -.- lol . everynight when i go to bed i fall asleep within 5 mins of my head hitting the pillow ! so this morning when i woke up , i didnt wanna get out of bed !
it was raining when i woke up this morning , at first i thought 'yess ! its raining so it wont be as damn hot as it has been !!' but then i realized that it was raining so we were gonna be inside all day aat work , so its gonna be a long day . and yess , it was a long day ! i was almost falling asleep standing up thats how bad it was . but when it was finally 4 oclock i was so excited ! i was going to have a nap when i got home but i got too consumed in writing my blog lol then i hadda stop for dinner .
so things are going good here , 4 more weeks until im home , and i miss everyone so much !! feel free to comment on a post , and i'll comment back , i wanna keep in touch with everyone :) hope things are great with everyone at home !!

btw , auntie mona , it was crazy that sheldon saw the boys at the concert !! i was texting him then , and just as i texted him saying the boys were there too , he texted back saying he just saw them lol he said adam yelled his name and said hi . i thought it was pretty crazy lol sheldon said it was a good concert , he liked it :) glad the boys enjoyed it too , i'll see you guys when i get home !! xoxo .

First Weekend !
so as excited as i am for all the weekend excursions and such , i so wish we only had them one of the days on the weekend !! after treetop trekking yesterday and then running all over montreal today , ontop of a whole week of work outside , im gonna be dead by the end of these 6 weeks !!
treetop trekking was so much fun yesterday !! it was pretty similar to the one in horseshoe , but some of the 'games' were a bit harder . no bigg though , still a good time :) we only got through 2 courses , but they were long and hard . we had lunch before we started , at the place . and then had a popsicle to refresh ourselves after ! :)
we had a family dinner again , but caroline wasnt home . but the other sister , vanessa was , with her boyfriend . and then we played a board game after ( y ) it was pretty much like Sorry , but with a different board . it was funn , getting to spend time like that with the family , and learning how to play in french lol
today , i hadda be up at 6 oclock , and we left the house at 6:55 to go to the subway station ! -.- it was way too early for me , i was falling asleep on the way there ! but the day was still good , for the most part . it was a good amazing race . we got all day subway passes , so we were all over montreal ! we went to places like the market , and had to buy things on a list to get our next clue , we had to find answers to questions about the Olympic stadium , shanna had to eat a salt and vinegar flavoured bug ( y ) . but we didnt get to do all the stations . one of the girls in our group ended up with a major migrane , and we had to call one of the coordinaters , and the paramedics came , they ended up taking her to the hospital . but it turned out that we think it was all just a show , and played out way bigger than it should have been . so shanna and i were so disappointed that we didnt get to go to the rest of the places , on of which was the Bell Centre , where the Montreal Canadiens play ! but after all the teams finished , we all went to a restaurant for dinner , that was famous for their poutines ! they had like 25 different poutines to choose from !! it was crazy . i finally got home sometime just after 8 , tired as ever after 2 days of hardcore stuff !!
so now i have another week of work ahead of me , and the Cirque Eloize to look forward to on thursday !! :) i miss you all , and love being able to keep in touch . !

one week down , 5 to go !
i cant believe that its pretty much already been a week ! im done work for the weekend , and now i have some fun stuff to do ! we already did our minigolfing on wednesday night ! it was fun to be able to go out and doing something as a group , so im even more excited for everything else now ! i was excited to shanna too , and talk about everything from our jobs to our houses and such .
i was actually afraid to go to work yesterday , because of the heat . it was up to 37 by the end of the day ! but we got to go to the pool in the morning as well as the afternoon , so much time was spent keeping cool ! we also spent alot of time inside , where it was air conditioned !
there isnt much to say about after work , other than we have family dinners , and i have my daily conversations with everyone ( y ) and still , im picking up a bit more french from conversations , and can kind of understand it .
it finally cooled off today !! it rained at just about the time we were gonna go to the pool at work , so we didn't get to swim . but it still cooled things off enough for a break from the heat ! i worked til 4 again today , so i played with the kids , and painted their faces , and we danced lots ! its funny , they listen to english music , so the songs we were dancing to today we like 'low- flo rida' , and 'gimme more- britney spears' , and barbie girl !! they dont understand what the songs really mean though , unlike me ;)
after dinner tonight , we went out to see a movie . it was definitely difficult to follow along , but i still understood the main parts of it . we saw Robin Hood , but i think i would like it more if i saw it in english ! i wasn't really up to going , cause im so tired from working and being outside all week , but i went anyway , so i was doing something with the family . but i was definitely ready for bed at about 8 oclock tonight !! so , with that being said , its time to shut everything off , and go to bed so im ready for treetop trekking tomorrow !! i love and miss everyone !! <3

oh , and sheldon , i saw 8 punch buggys and 2 pt crusiers today , im gonna owe you big ! ;)
i was actually afraid to go to work yesterday , because of the heat . it was up to 37 by the end of the day ! but we got to go to the pool in the morning as well as the afternoon , so much time was spent keeping cool ! we also spent alot of time inside , where it was air conditioned !
there isnt much to say about after work , other than we have family dinners , and i have my daily conversations with everyone ( y ) and still , im picking up a bit more french from conversations , and can kind of understand it .
it finally cooled off today !! it rained at just about the time we were gonna go to the pool at work , so we didn't get to swim . but it still cooled things off enough for a break from the heat ! i worked til 4 again today , so i played with the kids , and painted their faces , and we danced lots ! its funny , they listen to english music , so the songs we were dancing to today we like 'low- flo rida' , and 'gimme more- britney spears' , and barbie girl !! they dont understand what the songs really mean though , unlike me ;)
